We are committed to providing close, personal attention to our clients. We take pride in giving you the assurance that the personal assistance you receive comes from years of advanced training, technical experience and financial acumen. Our continual investment of time and resources in professional continuing education, state-of-the-art computer technology and extensive business relationships is indicative of our commitment to excellence. Ever since the original firm was formed in 1961 by W. Griffin Moody, Jr., it has pursued a policy of progressive growth in an ever changing financial environment. K. Scott Collins, who joined the firm in 1980 and was made partner in 1986, acquired the firm from its former principals in 1997. The firm is continuing the policies of the original principal. The firm still updates its systems regularly in order to continue to provide the most advanced services required by its clients. The first office was downtown on College Square, across from the old Varsity, but then moved to the old C&S Bank building. In 1972 new offices were built in the present location at 455 Newton Bridge Road. In 1998 a 1,900 + square-foot addition to the offices, along with a major renovation of the existing space, was undertaken. This expansion and renovation not only added needed office space, but also positioned the firm to offer a much broader based range of financial services. Collins/Moody + Company still offers all of the fundamental accounting services which clients expect. Typical services include audit, review and compilation reports; tax and consulting for individuals, corporations, partnerships, S corporations, LLC's, LLP's, trusts, estates and not-for-profits; and computerized bookkeeping, which includes monthly, quarterly, or yearly compiled financial statements, sales tax reports, personal property tax reports, and payroll tax returns. The firm serves its clients with payroll check writing, management services, and small business computer consultation and also provides substantial planning and preparations services for trusts and estates. The firm has also, however, consistently foreseen changes in its clients' needs as well as new directions, which the profession of accounting itself has taken. In a very real sense, the nature of CPAs has shifted beyond the traditional compliance type of services to a more comprehensive range of services, often tailored to unique client needs. In order to stay abreast of these larger trends within the accounting profession, Collins/Moody + Company participates in the American Institute of CPA's "Vision 2000" project to forecast professional developments within the profession as well as future client needs. In light of the upcoming changes in the profession the principals of the firm help clients "work on their business and not in their business". These techniques should translate into increased efficiency and hopefully a corresponding increase in profitability. Also, in 1998 the firm began refining its long standing relationships with local brokers, insurance agents, and financial planners so that clients can fully utilized these services in the most efficient manner under the oversight of the principals of Collins/Moody + Company in order to provide quality comprehensive planning. To accomplish this goal Collins?moody Financial Services, LLC was founded (formerly Classic Planning Advisory Services, LLP) to provided comprehensive fee base investment management services as well as providing clients with acess to life, disability and long-term care incurance produccts. The team members of the firm, professional and paraprofessional alike, participate regularly in continuing professional education, and have consistently been far ahead of the basic requirements needed to meet regulatory board standards. The longtime service of most of the firm's team members provides continuity and state-of-the-art accounting services. The firm presently has 13 full time employees - 3 clerical and the remainder professional or paraprofessional. Whether the client is a physicians' practice, an automobile dealership, a construction company, an outdoor advertising firm, or an individual, Collins/Moody + Company continues to provide the same consistent and professional service which this firm has been known for since 1961. The firm is committed to continue its record of service to existing clients, offer new services to these clients and opening the firm's services to new clients as well. 455 Newton Bridge Road P.O.
